Position Summary – Director of Sponsorships
The Director of Sponsorships is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining sponsorship relationships that support the mission, programs, and events of Loudoun SHRM. This role plays a key part in securing financial support from businesses and community partners while fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
Reports To:
- Members of the Chapter
- The Chapter President
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, solicit, and secure sponsorships for chapter programs, meetings, conferences, and special events.
- Develop sponsorship packages and benefits aligned with chapter goals and SHRM brand standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective sponsors.
- Maintain accurate records of sponsorship agreements, benefits, and fulfillment.
- Coordinate with other board chairs to ensure sponsor recognition and visibility.
- Ensure sponsor benefits (logos, space, speaking opportunities) are delivered as promised.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors through regular communication and follow-up.
- Prepare sponsorship reports.
- Support renewal efforts and ensure long-term partnerships are developed.
Requirements
- Comfortable with outreach via email, phone, and in-person networking.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to track multiple sponsorships.
- Familiar with SHRM and HR professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and board members.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to SHRM's values and code of ethics.
